National Museum of African American History Opening

We were fortunate enough to receive invitations to the opening ceremony of the National Museum of African American History and Culture from our friend Rossie Colter at the Philip Simmons Foundation. Some of our video and photography is on display in the museum with Mr. Simmons' ironworks. This video is a brief glimpse of our experience at the opening ceremony of the museum on September 24, 2016.

The film is narrated by CBS News Correspondent, Martha Teichner, and Middleton Place Foundation President, Charles Duell, whose grandchildren are 12th generation descendants of the first Middletons to leave England and settle in South Carolina.
